Kamalah Fletcher is a nonprofit leader and entrepreneur with a specialization in Community Engagement, Disaster Response, and Community Development with over 20 years of experience in the sector. She is the Founder of A LITTLE HELP NEVER HURT, which is an agency that pulls together networks of practitioners to bring intimate program design and service delivery to the intimate nature of human services and anti-poverty programming. She began her career in Early Childhood Education and inched further and further from the classroom, when she got to understand first-hand that her students’ education had as much to do with their family’s community and circumstances, as anything that was happening in her classroom. Since then she has worked in many levels of nonprofit leadership and in many communities up and down the East Coast, as well as across the Miami-Dade County, where she has been a proud resident for the last 13 years. She prioritizes cultivating deep and trusted relationships with various stakeholders across sectors, both as a practitioner and active community member. Her work has afforded her the privilege to work on county, state, and nation-wide initiatives focused on network weaving, capacity building, community leadership development, prosperity, financial stability, and community-based disaster resilience.
